Welcome to Heritage Christian School Parent's Pages

This is a non-school sponsored blog. I have created this place for HCS parents (teachers and coaches welcome also) to share information with each other. Maybe there is some information that couldn't fit in the P.I., maybe you have a musical instrument for sale, or lessons to offer. Do you have a question about a practice time, a fieldtrip, a meeting you missed or a game? This can be a place for you to post a question or comment on anything related to the school. I will also post community events that I think are interesting. If you would like to be able to post on this blog (or have something you would like me to post), add a comment to the most recent post or call me at 920-1100.

School board's e-mail address

Betty asked me, being she is not a techie, to post this on her behalf.
Attached to the most recent PI was a letter from Ken Wood.  Ken expressed real desire to open the communication with parents and he wrote about the new "dedicated email address" for a way to communicate directly to the board.  Please be aware that the new email address is not just for the board's eyes.  Matt will have access to the email address.  Brian and I consider it somewhat misleading in that it seems that the email address is a means of communication directly to the board and only the board.  Nothing wrong with it the way it is, I just feel people need to know the whole story.

7th and 8th grade girls basketball tournament.

Starting at 1:30 Friday afternoon, we need concession workers for the 7th and 8th grade girls basketball tournament.   We would appreciate, for anyone willing, to bring cookies, bars or any misc. homemade goodies.  If they are large, they can be packaged individually, if they are small, please package them 3 in a bag.  We will sell these for about 50 cents each.  They can be left in the kitchen if you are not going to be at the tournament, or you can just bring them to the concession counter if you plan on attending any of the games.  The tournament goes until Saturday afternoon.  We also need someone to sit at the admissions desk.
The sign up sheet is in the office, at the counter.

5th grade memory verse

Ephesians 4:25-28  NIV
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.  26) "In your anger do not sin": do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27) and do not give the devil a foothold. 28) He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
