Welcome to Heritage Christian School Parent's Pages

This is a non-school sponsored blog. I have created this place for HCS parents (teachers and coaches welcome also) to share information with each other. Maybe there is some information that couldn't fit in the P.I., maybe you have a musical instrument for sale, or lessons to offer. Do you have a question about a practice time, a fieldtrip, a meeting you missed or a game? This can be a place for you to post a question or comment on anything related to the school. I will also post community events that I think are interesting. If you would like to be able to post on this blog (or have something you would like me to post), add a comment to the most recent post or call me at 920-1100.

How Are We Representing Ourselves?

I see there are some new people watching the blog.  I just want to remind you all that this blog was started as a place to go for information.  Usually once a week, someone will give our family a call and ask if we have a spelling list or memory verse, because they forgot theirs.  We can now refer them to this blog instead of reading the lists over the phone.  We also have had many times when someone has said, "did you know____ is happening in the community". Or, "have you heard of anything going on that might be interesting to do this weekend"?  That is what this blog was designed for.  If you look back over ALL my posts you will see there is NOTHING that is in the least bit dividing or controversial.  That is not what this is supposed to be.   This is a blog, not a forum.  Information is shared, but please no negative attitudes should be brought here.  Please read over Matthew 18 and call me if you need to talk to me directly. My number is listed on the front page of the blog.

  1. Melissa: I think this is a wonderful blog for information. You have put a lot of time and effort in it and I really appreciate that. I cannot see anything posted that would be controversial or dividing either. Why would it be, I wonder? In these tough times I think we all need to do our Christian duty and give a positive testimony to our children. T

    The verse for Friday is:
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

  4. Hi Melissa! I was just informed last week of this blog and am finally getting a chance to look at it. What a great place to look for assignments. I also think it would be a great place to keep track of scores of games in case parents are unable to attend......they could be "watching" from here (just an idea). Is there a way to link this to the PI or even the school's website? You may need approval to do that first and I'm not very techy so I am not sure if it would even work. I have read through some of the older items on here and just want to comment that some of the things perceived as negativity may be actual concerns, but I can't speak for those who are writing. It looks like you have spent a lot of time on this so Thank You for that!

  5. Michelle,
Thanks for your positive comments. I really appreciate all of the support that I am getting on the blog. Definitely, just a spot to come for "other" stuff. By the way, Gavin forgot his spelling list today. How ironic is that?
